Credential Finder Export Instructions

Credentials

The Credential Finder is a tool for exploring data within the Credential Registry. However, the export feature within the Credential Finder provides only a subset of key information.

While the Credential Finder export feature offers valuable data, it does not replace the comprehensive data consumption options available through the Credential Registry. For a complete export of CTDL data, consider reviewing the data consuming options within the Credential Registry. To utilize any of these options, ensure you have set up your Credential Registry Account beforehand.

Follow these instructions to export data from the Credential Finder:

  1. Access the Credential Finder at https://credentiafinder.org.
  2. Select a search category from the dropdown menu based on your specific requirements.
  3. Narrow down your search results by applying filters to refine the information you want to export.
  4. Once you’ve filtered the data to your preference, locate the “Export” button located beneath the search options.
  5. Click on “Export” to initiate the export process. Please note that the export may take a few minutes to complete, depending on the volume of data.
  6. A pop-up window will appear, providing an estimated time for the download to complete. Click on “Start Export” to proceed with the download.
  7. Once the export process is finished, the narrowed-down information will be downloaded to your computer as a CSV file.

The exported CSV file may include information on various aspects such as Credentials, Organizations, Assessments, Learning Opportunities, Competency Frameworks, Collections, Pathways, Outcome Data, Support Services, Transfer Values, Transfer Intermediaries, Concept Schemes, Progression Models, Quality Assurance Actions, and Rubrics.
